My Forerunner

My Forerunner

Many years ago did she leave
our mansion in the world yonder
pledging she’d be a good Forerunner
that’d prepare my coming with ease.

A solitary food water was she until
i descended to short rationed her
meal yet she treated me like a star
and not for once did I miss my meal.

Our bellies tasted real hunger’s pangs
in one accord yet our face lined
joy on them like a fresh fabricated
linen spread on varied life’s ropes.

The same belly wombed us together
And forever we shall not scatter.
